$39
Covers one clinical review of your refill request. Medication is paid separately at your pharmacy. Ask the pharmacy for the cash price; many common generics are inexpensive. We do not bill insurance for Florida visits.
Can't afford the fee? Call or text before paying. Reduced-fee help is considered case by case and isn't guaranteed.
Florida law lets your pharmacist, in some cases, give a one-time emergency supply of up to 72 hours when your prescriber can't be reached. Read your options if you ran out →
Common questions
Who can use MedRefill Florida?
Adults 18 and older who are physically located in Florida at the time of the visit and need to continue an established, non-controlled medication they already take. You can be a Florida resident, a seasonal resident or a visitor.
How much does it cost?
$39 self-pay for the clinical review. The medication itself is paid separately at the pharmacy you choose. We do not bill insurance for Florida visits. Payment covers the review and does not guarantee a prescription.
Is the doctor licensed to treat me in Florida?
Yes. Nicholas Atudonyang, MD holds Florida out-of-state telehealth registration TPME8031, which lets a physician licensed in another state treat patients located in Florida by telehealth. You can verify the registration with the Florida Department of Health.
Do you have an office in Florida?
No. Florida care is telehealth only. Our practice is based in Fairview, Texas. If you need a physical exam, lab work or imaging, we will direct you to local in-person care in Florida.
Which medications can you refill?
Established, non-controlled maintenance medications such as blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes (including established GLP-1 therapy), thyroid, asthma, acid reflux, allergy and some antidepressants. See the medication list or use the checker above.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
No. We do not prescribe any controlled substances, including stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids, sleep medicines such as zolpidem, phentermine or testosterone. Florida law also restricts telehealth prescribing of Schedule II medications.
How fast will I hear back?
Refill requests are reviewed during business hours, and review times vary. Some requests need more information, a phone or video visit, records or tests, which takes longer. If you are new to us, the clinician contacts you before prescribing.
Where is my prescription sent?
If the clinician approves a prescription, it is sent electronically to the Florida pharmacy you choose. We do not dispense or ship medication and are not affiliated with any pharmacy.
I am pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I use this?
Tell the clinician in your intake. Some medications are not safe in pregnancy or while breastfeeding and need in-person care with your obstetric or primary care clinician.
Can I get a refund?
The $39 fee is refunded if you cancel before the clinician begins the evaluation. After the review starts it is generally not refundable. See the cancellation and refund policy.
