Levothyroxine refill online in Florida
Already taking levothyroxine? If you're physically in Florida, a Florida-registered telehealth physician can review a request to continue it for $39. If it's safe to continue, the prescription goes to the Florida pharmacy you choose.
About Levothyroxine
Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Levoxyl, Unithroid, Euthyrox) replaces thyroid hormone in hypothyroidism, including Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and after thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine. Doses are precise, often in micrograms (mcg), and small changes matter.
What the physician reviews before refilling
- Your exact dose in mcg and the brand or manufacturer on your label
- Your last TSH test: usually 6 to 8 weeks after a dose change, then every 6 to 12 months once stable
- Signs of too much (racing heart, tremor, weight loss, trouble sleeping) or too little (tiredness, feeling cold, constipation)
- Pregnancy or plans for pregnancy
- Thyroid cancer history: your target is usually set by an endocrinologist
- Heart disease, and calcium, iron or antacid use
Safety points
- Take it on an empty stomach with water, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, or as your label directs.
- Calcium, iron, antacids and some other supplements block absorption. Separate them by at least 4 hours.
- Pregnancy usually increases the dose needed, often early. Contact your clinician as soon as you know.
- Switching between brands or manufacturers can change your levels; tell the physician if your pharmacy changed it.
Florida tips
- Florida humidity: keep tablets in their original, tightly closed bottle at room temperature, not in a steamy bathroom or a hot car.
- Seasonal residents can get a TSH drawn at a lab in Florida before their refill is due. Bring the result to your request.
Cost
The $39 covers the physician review. You pay for levothyroxine separately at your pharmacy. Generic versions are usually much cheaper than brand names; ask for the cash price or use a free discount card. We don't bill insurance, but your pharmacy can run the prescription through your own plan.
Questions about Levothyroxine
Do I need a TSH test to refill levothyroxine?
If your last TSH was within about a year and you feel well on a stable dose, the physician can often continue it. If it has been longer, or your dose recently changed, you may get a short supply and be asked to have a TSH test.
Can my pharmacy switch my levothyroxine brand?
Pharmacies sometimes change manufacturers. Small differences can shift your levels. Try to stay on the same product, and tell the physician if it changed recently or you feel different.
Do you refill Armour Thyroid or liothyronine (Cytomel)?
Desiccated thyroid (Armour, NP Thyroid) and liothyronine need a closer look. Text us before paying so we can tell you whether a refill review is the right fit.
